Fixtures

Domestic Competitions

Senior fixtures are played from April to mid September each year. Season 2013 sees the first year of the 1st and 2nd XI being split into Premier and Championship Divisions. The top 8 clubs at the end of Season 2012 are in the Premier Divisions in 2013 with the bottom 8 clubs in the Championship Divisions.

At the end of the 2013 Season the two clubs who finish with the most points in the Championship Divisions will be promoted to the Premier Divisions; the two teams with the lowest number of points in the Premier Divisions will be relegated to the Championship Divisions.

The 2nd XI fixtures are therefore no longer the exact reverse of the 1st XI fixtures as different clubs are involved in the Premier and Championship Divisions for 1st and 2nd XI. Teams will play each of the other seven teams in their Division four times during the season - twice at home and twice away.

There is no Open Age 3rd XI for Season 2013.

Junior fixtures have a much shorter season and consequently return fixtures are not always played. The Under 18s play a league competition, the winners receiving the Whittaker Cup and also a knock-out competition for the Taylor Cup. Winners of the 'A' and 'B' Divisions at U15 and U13 levels play each other for a trophy. The winners of the U11 competition represent the League in the Lancashire Cricket Board competition run from the middle of July. The U9 competition was new for the 2010 season.

Inter League Competitions

The Central Lancashire League is involved in the Reader Inter League Knockout Competition at both Senior and Colts (Under 18) levels.
